Cornus Midwinter Fire is a deciduous shrub with oval, mid-green leaves which turn beautiful shades of yellow, purple and red in autumn before they fall to reveal fabulous flame-coloured stems. Plant where the winter sun will shine on it to show its best effect. In May and June clusters of creamy-white flowers appear. This plant is happy in most soils and even in damp areas. If required it can be cut back in early spring.
