A great plant for a shady part of the garden, Mahonia Charity has dark-green, holly like, evergreen leaves. From November to March rosettes of buds appear which open to spikes of yellow fragrant flowers followed by deep purple berries which are loved by birds. If growing in partial shade this plant prefers a well-drained soil if in full sun it needs moist soil.
